  • The Farewell Party on Friday is open to all registered ICCHP delegates.
  • ICCHP26 Reception is open to all registered delegates, too, but upon (your prior) notice (either given in our conference management system or at registration desk on site as we need to have an educated guess on delegates’ numbers)

Villa Tugendhat is a world-famous monument of the functionalistic Bauhaus and modernism architecture period. It is a “must-see” for Brno visitors but most often booked out months ahead.

ICCHP offers two guided tours including disability services:

Villa Tugendhat is a three-story constructivist building situated on a steep slope within a garden; its fundamental concept is based on open spaces (both interior and exterior) connected by staircases, with no elevator. The integrity and purity of the Constructivist design—which did not account for any means of access other than stairs—is precisely what is protected by UNESCO.

PLEASE NOTE: Universal Design principles are respected. Due to historical monument protection there are limitations demanding for Individual Adjustments. The guided tour proceeds from the top floor down to the lower levels, and visits for wheelchair users can only be arranged by individual agreement. A condition is that the visitor agrees to use a lightweight manual wheelchair (either their own or one provided by the building’s owner) during the visit and will be carried between floors via the exterior staircase by 2–4 people, while the main group of visitors with a guide descends the interior spiral staircase. Accessible toilets are only located in the lowest floor reachable from the street in the above-mentioned way.
