Dear colleague,

The Call for Contributions of ICCHP 2024 is open!
We are excited to open today the Call for Contributions for the 19th ICCHP - International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs,
taking place July 8 to 12 2024 at the premises of JKU campus in Linz, Austria.
We are thrilled that a long term friend of ICCHP, Makoto Kobayashi from Tsukuba University of Technology accepted our invitation and honours ICCHP with his attendance and support as General Chair of ICCHP 2024.

ICCHP 2024 will be held
July 10 - 12, 2024
(Preconference July 8 - 9) at
University of Linz,
Altenbergerstr. 69,

Austria, Europe

After an online ICCHP 2020 and joint ICCHP-AAATE 2022 taking place in wonderful Lecco, Lago di Como, Italy, we are delighted to come home to JKU Linz again and organize this conference "tradition" to tap into the full potential of their expert communities in digital inclusion, assistive technology and accessibility.
ICCHP focuses on Assistive Technology (AT), (e)Accessibility and Accessible ICT as well as social, economic and political Inclusion and Participation of people with disabilities and older adults.
The conference highlights the role of technology for independent living, participation, inclusion and improved services and support.

By its very nature, the conference is concerned with a wide range of topics in interdisciplinary research, product and service development, practice, legislation, economics and policy in evolving and fast advancing disciplines and related fields.
The conference is open to all visionary ideas and future oriented thoughts supporting our mission, from all over the globe.

We offer the following ways of contributing to the conference:

  • Special Thematic Sessions (STS): Structure and define your own research area for a comprehensive and focused discussion,
  • Science Contributions: Submit a peer- reviewed scientific paper (Springer LNCS or DOI referenced OAC - Open Access Compendium),
  • Innovation Area: Organise workshops, seminars, tutorials and panel discussions for exploring relevant and/or controversial aspects around assistive technology, accessibility and digital inclusion,
  • Young Researchers' Consortium: The next generation of research meet, learn and discuss their work with experts in the field and are also encouraged to submit a Science, Research and Engineering Contribution.

A broad range of topics including eAccessiblity, Assistive Technology (AT), educational/vocational inclusion, mobility support, service provision, ageing and disability rights are openly discussed at ICCHP in an inclusive and agreeable framework.
If your work touches upon any of the fields mentioned above, do not hesitate to submit a contribution, we are looking forward to reading from and meeting with you!
