Step one: Abstracts of original, unpublished work
- Prepared for a DOUBLE BLIND REVIEW
- The extended abstract you upload as file (in accessible .pdf or .docx, max. file size = 10Mb)
- MUST NOT contain ANY details or info that could reveal your name and/or affiliation!
- For a successful submission, BOTH, formbased short introductory abstract AND the extended abstract you upload have to be in our conference tool until the deadline (February 9, 2026)
- The document you upload as extended abstract has:
- 3 โ 5 pages in DIN A4 including all tables, pictures and relevant references,
- font: Times New Roman,
- size: 12pt for main text,
- single space lines,
- single columns,
- margins 2cm each (top, bottom, left right),
- must include captions and structured headings
- To be ready for a fair review, your abstract must comprise the following main parts: introduction, state of the art, methodology, (first) results and the most important references
- Submit via the Conference Management System selecting the category “LNCS”
- Deadline: February 9, 2026
- Reviewed by 3 experts
- Notification of Acceptance: March 23, 2026
Step two: Final version of the paper strictly following Springer’s LNCS guidelines:
- DOWNLOAD the Springer LNCS template(s) (LaTeX as well as Word) to write your camera ready submission directly with this document and the corresponding .pdf as guideline, a look & feel example and to check the compliance of your paper to our formatting rules.
- Elaborate your submission following the reviewersยด comments toย up to 4 – 8 pages in LNCS formatย (check regularly!)
- UPLOAD 1 .zip file and a .pdf via the Conference Management System
- File 1 contains a .zip that consist of 3 parts (your paper):
- Your final LaTeX repository OR
- Word .docx,ย prepared strictly following the LNCS guidelines and using the LNCS template(s)
- the final .pdf exported from it
- a folder with all pictures and graphs used in your final paperย asย .jpg or .png with a resolution of 300dpi ready to be taken (no cutting, glueing, zooming, shrinking etc. needed)
- File 2 is a .pdf crucial for publishing with LNCS:
- Licence to Publish Form as .PDF filled in and signed
- File 1 contains a .zip that consist of 3 parts (your paper):
- Deadline: April 16, 2026
Step three: Onsite presentation at the conference (timeslots of approximately 20 minutes including discussion).
- UPLOAD of your presentation either as .pptx or accessible .pdf via the Conference Management System from July 1. 2026

- Zip two comprises the two administrative files for Publishing with OAC:

PLEASE NOTE: All contributions will be reviewed against the following criteria:
- Relevance to the conference
- Scientific Quality
- Originality / Novelty / Innovation
- User Involvement and User Centered Approach
- State of the Art
- Readability and Organisation of the Paper
3. Special Thematic Sessions
Focused sessions on specific topics of interest, open to both LNCS and OAC contributions. Encourage interdisciplinary and cross-stakeholder exchange.

- STSs announced on ICCHP website; contributors select STS during paper submission.
- Acceptance requires โฅ4 papers.
- Review Committee evaluates and negotiates overlaps.
- STS Chairs promote sessions in their networks.
- Chairs decide one publishing option (LNCS or OAC) for all STS contributions.
- Optional: Chairs may publish an introductory paper at no extra cost.

- Additional paper fees apply for multiple submissions by the same author.
- All presentations must follow accessibility standards (e.g., W3C/WAI Presentation Guidelines)
