Terms & Conditions 2020

The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to the ICCHP-Conference. Participants shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the Conference and are advised to read and understand these terms carefully before registering. The Organizer will not accept any conditions contradictory to or deviant from these general terms and conditions.

Organizer

Responsible for the organization of the Conference is the association ICCHP, located in Linz, Austria.

Host

Because of the global Covid-19 pandemy, Association ICCHP took over the duties of hosting ICCHP online.

Registration

Registration to the Conference must be done through the online registration system. Participants will receive an automatic confirmation of the registration details. If you do not obtain this confirmation, send an email to office(at)icchp.org asap to make sure that the organizer has received your booking. Registration will only be effective on receipt of the registration rate or after authorization of credit card payment. Please notify any corrections to your registration immediately.

Rates and Payment Conditions

The rates of the conference are shown here.

Travel, accommodation and meal expenses are excluded from registration rates and result in additional expenses.
We recommend using the online payment (Master Card, Visa) when registering for the Conference. The alternative is a bank transfer. See below the detailed bank information. After successful online payment you will receive an automated email message on the success of the transaction. All payments are done in Euro.

VAT

10% Value Added Tax (VAT) is payable by all delegates. ICCHP-VAT-number is placed on the invoices created after the registration process.

Cancellation

Cancellations on or before July 15, 2020 are charged a handling fee of €100. For publishing authors or for cancellations after July 15, 2020, no refund can be made.
The date of receipt shall be used to determine whether a refund can be made.

No-Shows without cancellation will be invoiced the full registration fee.
Delegates have the right to appoint a substitute at any time without additional cost.

All cancellation requests and change requests must be submitted in written form – with indication of full name, invoice number and bank details for reimbursement – to: office(at)icchp.org.

The Organizer reserves the right to modify the content of the program, the speakers and the times of presentations. If the number of participants is insufficient, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel the conference and all related products and/or services without any liability on his part. In the case of a cancellation by the Organizer participants will be reimbursed the registration rate actually paid.

Visa Application

Authors with accepted paper(s) who uploaded the final version of the camera-ready paper can apply for an acceptance letter that can be used for visa application.

Conference Language

We appreciate the extensive participation of the international community in this conference.
The conference language is English.

Liability

The Organizer does not accept liability for the up-to-dateness, correctness and completeness in respect to conference documentation and content.
The Organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the Conference.

Photographs, videos, etc.

The Organizer may free of charge and without the further consent of the participants use and release pictures, shots and videos taken of the participants and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations or lectures) during the Conference for reports of the Conference and announcement of events in future. 

Online Conference Service

All information (presentation/life videos, written text, audio files, etc.) provided by particpants are the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. All such information is referred to below as the "Content".

Prohibited Content: You agree that you will not send, display, post, submit, publish or transmit Content that: a) is unfair or decetive under the consumer protection laws of any jurisdiction; b) is copyrighted, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights; c) creates a risk to a person's saftety or health, creates a risk to public saftey or health, compromises national security, or interferes with an investigation by law enforcement; d) impersonates another person; e) promotes illegal drugs, violates export control laws, relates to illegal gambling, or illegal arms trafficking; f) is unlawful, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, gives rise to civil liability, violates any law, or is otherwise dishonest, inaccurate, inappropriate, malicious or fraudulent; g) involves theft or terrorism; h) constitutes an unauthorized commercial communication; i) contains the contact information or any personally identifiable information of any third party unless you have first obtained the express consent of said third party to include their contact information or personally identifiable information; and/or j) breaches this agreement. 

ICCHP reserves the right (but shall have no obligation) to pre-screen, review, flag, filter, modify, refuse or remove any or all Content from any Service without further notice to you. We have complete discretion whether to publish your Content and have the right to delete any and all Content at any time which we believe to be in violation of the "Prohibited Content".

You should be aware that Content presented to you as part of the Services, including but not limited to advertisements in the Services and sponsored Content within the Services may be protected by intellectual property rights which are owned by the sponsors or advertisers who provide that Content to ICCHP (or by other persons or companies on their behalf). You may not modify, rent, lease, loan, sell, distribute or create derivative works based on this Content (either in whole or in part) unless you have been specifically told that you may do so by ICCHP or by the owners of that Content, in a separate agreement.

You understand that by using the Services you may be exposed to Content that you may find offensive, indecent or objectionable and that, in this respect, you use the Services at your own risk.

You agree that you are solely responsible for (and that ICCHP has no responsibility to you or to any third party for) any Content that you create, transmit or display while using the Services and for the consequences of your actions (including any loss or damage which ICCHP may suffer) by doing so.

The Organizer will ask for videos of your presentation beforehand and will stream this video or your life-video. This video including your presentation and the followup question&answer will be made available for all participants while the whole conference. The video will be stored for 6 months and deleted afterwards. You have a choice to remove your Content after the conference by contacting us at office@icchp.org.

Privacy Policy

All personal data provided to the Organizer for registration will be treated as confidential. The data shall be used and stored for further processing and documentation purposes. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose. Data shall be delivered to assigned service providers, as deemed necessary for the successful performance of the Conference. The Organizer will only disclose information to third parties if that is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose(s) identified above. Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

Disputes

All agreements between the Organizer and the Participant and all disputes which may arise between the Organizer and the Participants shall be exclusively subject to Austrian law. Court of jurisdiction shall be Linz, if not otherwise required by the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.
